Hotels in Masai Mara are located both inside the reserve and outside the reserve but close to the entry gates. Most luxurious hotels are located inside the reserve near the Mara River where the great wildebeest migration occurs. The hotels in Masai mara national reserve are divided into zones that cover the conservancies that makeup Masai mara national reserve. The zones are five; the eastern zone, the Northern zone, the central zone, the western zone, and the southern zone, the 5 zones account for the five private conservancies found in Masai Mara. Each of the 5 zones has lush accommodations with all the levels of accommodation that take you close to nature you feel the greatness of the true African wildlife.
Hotels in Masai Mara are booked in advance, especially during the high season from June to October when the wildebeest migration occurs. Some of the lodges include elephant pepper camp, Neptune Mara, Mara Serena Lodge, Sentrim Mara, Governor’s Camp, Rhino Camp, Ashnil Camp, Mara Simba Camp, Sarova Mara game camp, Mara plains camp, and others.
