Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southern part of Uganda on the rim of the Rift Valley. The park covers 32000 ha and is known for its exceptional biodiversity. Its rich rainforest host over 600 mountain gorillas giving you plenty of opportunities for trekking and discovery. Besides the excitement of the gorillas, Bwindi offers opportunities for colorful woodland walks through the luxuriant rainforest. It is also a magical place for birdwatchers and flora lovers.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is between June and August and then in December through to February. These are the driest months with the best chance of sunny skies and clear days perfect for wildlife viewing although showers are always possible.
