Discover the romantic side of Tanzania by exploring the country's more remote regions. This 10 days includes a stay in some of the best safari lodges and camps with excellent services and style. Explore the remote Katavi National Park rich in game viewing and birding. Later visit the shores of Lake Tanganyika whose Mahale National Park is home to Africa's last surviving chimps.

Upon arrival at the Arusha Airport, you will be met by our representative who will warmly welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

On this day, check out for an activity to carry out. You may opt for a city tour, shopping at the nearby Cultural Heritage Center, or rather an excursion to Tarangire or Manyara national parks.

Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Early morning departure to Katavi National Park via the Serengeti arriving in time for a late lunch. After a siesta, you can take a walk with your safari guide to show you around.

Return to your accommodation for sundowners, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast at your accommodation, head out for a morning game drive. Katavi is renowned for its game, huge herds of buffalo and elephants are often on the plains. We suggest sundowners out on the plains, where the light is gorgeous at that time of day, and watch the big herds of buffalo.

Later enjoy dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

After a sumptuous breakfast at your accommodation, depart for a one-hour flight to Mahale airstrip followed by a one-and-a-half-hour trip down the lake with lunch on board at Greystoke. Upon arrival, settle into Greystoke meeting the staff who will also enlighten you about the chimps. Afternoon will be at leisure to take a dhow cruise down the lake, a short forest hike, or just relax on the beach.

You can opt for sundowner drinks before dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, your accommodation, head out for chimps tracking in groups of six walking up the narrow mountain trails to track them. On reaching the chimps, you can spend an hour with them whilst they do their playing. Later you will return to your accommodation for lunch before heading to the dhow for a deep water swim in the lake. Enjoy the African sunset before heading back for dinner and overnight.

Head out early morning in one of the Kayaks and have your first cup of coffee out in the middle of the lake or enjoy a relaxed morning in camp before boarding the dhow and heading back to the airstrip.
